Blog Tour: Storm Dancer by Rayne Hall

Dark Epic Fantasy
Date Published: 9/9/2011

Demon-possessed siege commander, Dahoud, atones for his atrocities by hiding his identity and protecting women from war's violence - but can he shield the woman he loves from the evil inside him?

Principled weather magician, Merida, brings rain to a parched desert land. When her magical dance rouses more than storms, she needs to overcome her scruples to escape from danger.

Thrust together, Dahoud and Merida must fight for freedom and survival. But how can they trust each other, when hatred and betrayal burn in their hearts?

'Storm Dancer' is a dark epic fantasy. British spellings. Caution: this book contains some violence and disturbing situations. Not recommended for under-16s.

My Review:
I really think that the synopsis could give away a bit more so that the reader knows what they are getting into. As it stands, it was a little too vague for all that comes with the novel.

Rayne Hall has mastered the Suspense and Detail of this book. Not for the faint of heart. There is a bit of graphic detail in some places that will have you cringing. It is definitely Dark Fantasy and Rayne Hall succeeds in keeping the fantasy aspect while making this story as dark as a Horror might be.

The plot flowed nicely and kept me turning pages. I really liked the development of the characters and writing style as well.

All in all, a great, albeit dark read!
