This is one of my FAVORITE books I have EVER read! OMG OMG I can not stress enough how wonderful I thought it was, but let me try!
The beginning of her kidnapping is quite funny to read actually. I loved the way she had a quirky way of dealing with her impending doom. Eventually she begins to fall for her captor Cameron. It is amazing how much she must feel for him knowing the kind of "work" he does and still accepting his actions. At times for someone who believed he loved her, she sure did questions his actions an awful lot. Granted there were circumstances that lead her in this direction.
There is an abundance of Plot Twists and Revelations in this story. Yes, some of them may have been a little predictable, but that did not take away from the story one bit.
The characters for me were so multi-dimensional. I felt like we were constantly learning something new about them and peeling away layer upon layer. And this was not just the main characters, there were so many great supporting characters. I personally loved Rocco and Griff.
The amount of emotions you are put through while reading this is outstanding and I feel that Julie Hockley really succeeds in forging a connection between the reader and the characters. At times this story is light hearted, devastating, frustrating, heartwarming, thought-provoking, and heartbreaking, but I would not change a thing!
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! Go Read it NOW!
I will say that the ending may not be what everyone would like, but I personally thought it was perfect. I think it is a great end to a book just not a good ending to their story as a whole. If that makes sense? I am very curious to see where the sequel will go and hope that we find out when it will come out soon! Last update from her was that she had a couple of chapters written in June.
